The PREFbatt is another example of our abilty to assemble custom signaling solutions for your lean manufacturing applications. The PREFbatt combines our standard PREF LED andon light with a battery power supply in 24 volts DC. The batteries are enclosed in the base housing along with a battery charger board, and transformer. The battery case also includes a 6 foot AC power cord for recharging the rechargeable batteries as needed. The PREF is a 56mm LED light that can be provided in up to a 5 color stack (our standard shown here is 3 colors). The PREF is then attached to the battery case, and the case also has the manual switches located on its' front face. This assembly fits well into applications that have no standard 120 Volt AC power available. However, some drawbacks of this battery system is the requirement of charging at a 5 to 1 ratio, so charging time can be calculated as every hour of us will ultimately require 5 times that time to bring the batteries back to full charge. As an example 10 hours of use of the lights over 1 week period would reqire a charging time of 50hours.
